Walk in or call ahead — either way, we'll get you seen
You don't need to be an existing patient. During office hours, give us a quick call on your way over so we can have a chair ready — then walk right in. Here's what we handle for walk-in emergencies:
Sudden toothache
Throbbing pain or sensitivity that won't quit. We find the cause and stop it the same day.
Broken or chipped tooth
Bring any pieces with you. We stabilize the tooth and plan the repair on the spot.
Knocked-out tooth
Time matters most here — call on your way and keep the tooth moist in milk or saliva.
Swelling or abscess
Facial swelling needs fast attention. We treat the infection and relieve the pressure.
Lost filling or crown
Exposed teeth are sharp and sensitive. We re-cement or rebuild the same day when we can.
Tooth that needs pulling
If it can't be saved, Dr. Maupin extracts it gently and can plan a replacement in-house.
What to do right now
- Call on your way in. A quick heads-up lets us prep a chair so there's no wait. (254) 848-2722
- Rinse gently with warm water. It cleans the area and eases sensitivity.
- Use a cold compress for swelling. 20 minutes on, 20 off, against the cheek.
- Bring any broken pieces or a knocked-out tooth. Keep them moist in milk or saliva on the way.
- Bring your insurance card. We'll verify coverage and give you an honest estimate before we start.

Walk-in dentist questions
Do you really take walk-ins?
Yes — walk-in emergencies are welcome during office hours (Mon–Thu, 8am–4pm). A quick call first is fastest so we can prep a chair, but you're welcome to come in.
Do I need to be an existing patient?
No. New and walk-in patients are welcome. Bring your ID and insurance card and we'll take it from there.
Will it hurt?
We numb the area fully before anything, and oral sedation is available if you're anxious. Most patients are surprised how comfortable it is.
What will it cost?
It depends on the treatment, and we'll give you an honest estimate before we start. We accept most major insurance and offer financing.
What if I come in after you've closed?
Our hours are Mon–Thu, 8am–4pm. If you reach us after hours, leave a message — call us and we'll get you in first thing the next office morning.
